It will be our 47th anniversary in a week's time



yet we are only a few years in age behind you ................... we were both in our later 20s when we married

Thank you all for your kind wishes

We have spent a quiet day at home . Had a Sunday roast and a bottle of Rose to wash it down . Strawberries and cream on a meringue base was a nice sweet.

We had intended to go out to dinner on Sat or Sunday evening but couldnt get a table at our favorite eaterie so that is on hold till next Sat .

Had lots of family messages on Facebook wishing us a lovely day so that was nice too . I posted a wedding picture on there which some of the younger members hadnt seen before and they were very complimentary about it and were looking to find their parents on the picture that was way before they were born

Lovely to see the picture but sad to see how many of both sides of the family are no longer with us .

Matthew and Jane Elwood who had my great great grandfather Francis Edward Elwood baptised in 1807 at Horsham Sussex. There is no sign of Matthew or Jane from this date and my great great grandfather was brought up as Francis Edward Elwood MITCHELL

I am researching the Wotherspoon family from the Old/New Monkland areas of Scotland, some moved to the Leslie and Kelty areas of Fife and I'm having problems linking the Wotherspoon's from Leslie and the Wotherspoon's from Kelty. I am also researching the Clusker family from Co. Meath in Ireland who moved to West Lothian and from there to Fife............"Vita non est vivere sed valere vita est"

The weather today is very much like the day 57 years ago when we said I Do !!

I was 20 and hubby 23 . We are each other's best friend as well as we love each other very much . Think that's our secret for staying together
