Well they do and we miss the calls.
My son works all over and when abroad it's good
to see him face to face so for that alone, it works for
me..each to their own.

Is it really worth getting an iPhone just incase they facetime you whilst out

As I'm not into apps etc and only use FaceTime with family
and friends the phone is mostly used for texts and phone calls.

I leave the apps and other stuff to OH :-D

Yes, you can Skype on all other phones.

Apple is also a big con as you can only us their apps.

It's obvious goldengirl wants an iPhone if she wants to do this facetime thing....personally I would not want people to see me when I am on the phone to them....if I ever did then Skype probably would be another option

If you are thinking of getting an iPhone. Wait until the new iPhone 6 comes out.

However, there is a problem with all iPhones. Many people experience their phones slowing down once a new phone is introduced. There is a lot online on the subject. It only happens with Apple.

Your best bet would be to visit a Phone shop or somewhere like John Lewis and see which phone suits your needs.

We can all recommend what we like, but what we like may not suit you. ;-)

You will love it Emma and you can do sooo many things on it I'm learning all the time. I've got mine on contract for two years my daughter got me a very good deal so I can get the latest model when my contract is up. Have fun playing with your new Iphone Emma :-)

I love to FaceTime also Linda on my iPad,
it's a treat to see family and friends face to face.
With a phone I won't miss any calls when they want
to chat and I'm out and about.

I have had my Apple Iphone for about two months now, its great I facetime my daughter and grandsons all the time who do not live near me so I can watch my 17 month grandson grow when I cant get up to see them. love it <3 <3

It's my great grand daughters Jax that FaceTime
me on my iPad , they are both 2 years old going on 22 :-D :-D

I love mine, so easy to use... Now have the z2 tablet to go with it

If facetime is between apple users I wouldn't get much use out of that as only my youngest daughter has an iPhone and she is not that chatty with me... Maybe it's a teenage thing

I don't know what facetime is as I don't have an iPhone.... But I would recommend sony xperia z

As sony bring out a new flagship phone every six months the z which is about 18 months old can be picked up for half the original price
