The UK needs and deserves a 'new politics' for the very obvious reason that the old ones have been a catastrophic failure.

Does it matter who is captain of a sinking ship?

He certainly can be amusing and he has what I would call an ecentric personality - whether those are suitable qualifications for the leader of a political party or future Prime Minister is another question - mark you we have had some strange ones over the years :-D

He has 'Personality', but could he be a 'Statesman'? :-S

I'm a bit worried that he might succeed, lol, I think if he were to run for PM at some point he could well win the Conservatives an election. Even i have a sneaking liking for Boris, he's the only politician that makes me laugh, though that may not be the best recommendation :-D

It looks like the starting pistol has been fired in the race for the election of the next leader of the Tory Party ;-)

In a speech today, London Mayor Boris Johnson, said the UK should not be afraid of going for an alternative future if plans to reform the country's relations with the European Union fail. He also said he will, in all probability, try to become an MP at the next general election.

This is a man whose ambitions should not be underestimated, after-all, when he was growing up and anyone asked him what he wanted to be - he said I want to be "World King" ;-)
