'Mega'

And when newspapers report on a 'giant' spider/snake etc
It's just a big breed of spider, or an old snake, it's not a bl**dy giant :-|

Just because 'they're' trying to make technology smaller, it doesn't follow that nature does the same thing.

BTW, this is being typed on a 'giant' (ie tower) computer. I have a laptop, and a small tablet, but prefer old Maisie.

Wend, many years ago when my eldest was a baby I met another new mum and invited her in for coffee one morning. As she left she said " see you later", a phrase I had never heard before instead of goodbye. I spent the whole afternoon wondering when she was going to turn up. What an innocent I was in those days!!!

Our son in law peppers each sentence with " like ". It drives us mad. :-S

I find it it irritating when I see the word "stunning" it's so overused.

Also on FB I notice so many people(usually women) continuously say "I love/adore my kids/ children " I am sure they do, but why do they need to keep telling everyone?

"For free" really annoys me. It is either " free", or it is "for nothing". Bob

Like being used extra grammatically and people who say X will be with you momentarily. I feel like saying really the meeting will be that quick.

Ooh, Paula, I do so agree with you on that one. One (young!) friend (of a friend) of mine puts pics of her 3-yr old daughter on FB every day, with comments such as 'Isn't she lovely', 'my gorgeous Flo***e, etc. and then puts a photo of her sitting on a bench with her legs open, saying how adorable she is.

What??? :-|

when at work we had "face to face" meetings where a manager(of some sort) would take the stand to outline a forthcoming company policy.

there was one who continually used the word
"clearly"

to me, it wasn't, for if it was, he wouldn't have been needing to explain things......
