"Monday's Child" ~ Nursery Rhyme

Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go,
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child must work for a living,
But the child that's born on the Sabbath day,
Is fair and wise and good and gay.

I was born on a Tuesday, DH on a Friday.

:-D

Thursday's child me and I did have far to go - we lived in a cottage on Caerphilly mountain and it was over a mile to school - no buses - when I passed the scholarship the school was in Penarth, a mile to the nearest railway station and then change trains in Cardiff and on to Penarth and then another walk at Penarth = one and a half hours travelling just to get to school - leaving the house at 7:30 am and getting back home around 6:00 pm

I'm thinking DH and I should have been born on a Thursday... because we've lived in at least ten different countries! :-D and been on holiday in many more.

Tuesday me, I wouldn't say I was full of grace!!! i.e. graceful. However if it is meaning couteous or full of goodwill I suppose so.

I was a Friday's child and try to live up to my description.

My son and my nephew were born on Saturdays, four weeks apart but have had very different lives, my son has had to struggle but my nephew works with his father, my brother, and has had an easy ride so far, everything handed to him on a plate.
