Brenda my OH and I went to a dance in Wrexham many years ago with Victor Sylvester Jnr's Orchestra

The sound just wasn't the same as his father's orchestra unfortunately.

Went to the Isle of Man in the early 50s and danced in the Villa Marina to the Joe Loss Band....those were the days..showing my age now!

Makes me smile when someone says "don't remember that it's before my time" but they have heard of Shakespeare, Charles Dickens etc. :-(

When I was a small child and poorly in bed, I used to beg for the radio to be brought to me. Workers' Playtime, Have A Go, Educating Archie and the Afternoon Play....all aided me in my recovery. :-D :-D
