Just been on this site and placed a poppy

Just been on and placed a poppy for my gt grandad who died in 1917 and is buried in france, he left behind a wife and 3 daughters. Mum never knew him either but dad took her over about 14 years ago and took pictures and put a poppy wreath down.

Would be nice if all on the site could be remembered

Thank you for this link, didn't know anything about it before.

I have just placed a poppy for my great uncle who died in 1916, and is also buried in France.

I didnt know til it came up on my facebook feed. Glad at least there is one more poppy.

Dawnie thank you , I tend not to place poppies for individual rellies lost in the great wars as I have lost too many friends in recent wars and many of my family came home from the earlier ones.
I always give and always but poppies for all those lost
