When young friends come and go, changing school, moving away etc. You remember them sometimes and carry on.

Once you get older the word friend means a lot more, they really are the person you rely on, trust in and you understand the difference between friend and good acquaintance/neighbor.
Sadly we reach this era in time when friends don´t just move etc but go out of our life due to death.
They leave one hell of a hole in ours lives and as much sadness as if they were family or in some cases more then family.

The things with friends who have moved on they wouldn´t want us cry and dwell but to remember them with smiles and cheer.

So join me in raising a glass to absent friends.

To absent friends, always in our hearts.

It will be the anniversary of Deanna's passing on Thursday and at the end of this month the anniversary of my friend Lizzie's passing at only 59.
