There is a Vulcan bomber at Wellesbourne airfield in Warwickshire. It doesn't fly, but a couple of times a year it does a "fast taxi" along the runway. It is certainly spectacular. This year they had a flying model Vulcan. I say model, but it is huge, and when flying looks (and sounds) just like the real thing. Bob

I'm so pleased you were able to see them, I am about 15 miles from Waddington, and they were just forming up as they went over the house. Quite a spectacle.

Happy day!

I used to enjoy watching the Spitfires, Hurricanes, Lancasters, Vulcans, and other Battle of Britain aircraft, down here in my part of Kent (Biggin Hill is only 4 miles away), I used to sit out on my balcony and watch the air show - a magnificent sight.

What a truly amazing sight that must have been Elisabeth.

I am well jell!!

The sound must have been absolutely thunderous.

One flew over here earlier in the year and the ground shook.

(Well....my shed did :-D)

I have just seen something I've not seen before, and don't expect to see again in my lifetime!

Two Lancasters, together with the Vulcan, on a long awaited flight around Lincolnshire and heading south to RAF Marham. What an achievement to get them together.

What a brilliant day!
