Grabagran,
What's with the trams?
Do they run frequently?

I have been in Edinburgh 4 times in the last 3 weeks .
On the way home from my 1st trip, I suddenly realised that I hadn't seen a single tram all day.

It wasn't until my 4th trip to the festival last weekend that I actually saw one, but it is the only one I've seen?

Glasgow Lass. Hope this and any more to be built in Glasgow are legacies left from the Commonwealth Games that Glasgow held this year.

Pity Edinburgh CC hadn't thought of spending millions on ensuring safe schools and new playgrounds for children, instead of wasting it on bloody stupid trams!!!

Hope the kids in your area spend many happy hours playing in the new play area, and it isn,t vandalised :-(

Good to see children enjoying themselves outdoors. The skateboard/scooter park in our village is well used as was the one at Lee on Solent in Hampshire that we saw last week. Good to see the children wearing helmets and in some cases knee pads though.

Gwyn
A survey was done in the nearby primary school and the kids provided the council with their wish lists.
An area for skateboards and scooters was a priority.
The park also has new play equipment for toddlers but sadly, I noticed that there is very little which is suitable for disabled children.

I wondered how long it would take the children to realise that a solid wall at the end of the large activity frame was actually a climbing wall, complete with hand and foot holds.
I watched today, as one, tiny 4year old boy ( a neighbour) worked out what it was, and scaled it easily

we always know when it's school holidays in South Wales by the number of grass fires :-(

Great to have an area where they can play outside and have fun.

It sounds as if it has been built with slightly older children in mind too, which is good.

It's not a Bank Holiday weekend here but if you were to see the view from my kitchen window, you could be forgiven for thinking that it was....

After months of redevelopment, the( over 30yr old) play-park at the back of my house was finally reopened yesterday providing an assortment new of children's play equipment
(Council owned but the refit was funded by new build developers in the area)

The school day has just ended, the sun is shining, and it looks like every child, parent and grandparent has come to try out the new swings, roundabout, see saw, climbing frame and..... the the real draw....a skateboard/ scooter/ stunt bike area!
I hope it lasts as long as the old one
