The Laughing Policeman.

As you know, I only shop in the most select of premises..............however, I ventured into the 99p Shop the other day, and bough a 3cd set of Humourous songs.

And yes, the Laughing Policeman was on it.

Along with My Brother by Terry Scott, Busy Bee by Arthur Askey, Digging a Hole by Bernard Cribbens, and a song with Joyce Grenfell and Norman Wisdom.

It tickled my funny bone! :-D

I can remember the Laughing Sailor in the glass case at Canvey Island, it always banged its head against the glass. Frightened the life out of me.

I bought my dad one of those battery operated Laughing Policeman on a stand.

It took pride of place on a little table in the hall. When there was a knock on the door.....he would switch it on before he opened the door. :-D

That brought back a memory of...think it was at Blackpool pleasure beach I saw this as a child on a day trip there.
Didn't realize I'd end up marrying a bobby!! :-D
