LadyScozz - my grandfather swore blind that the secret of half filling the glass with ice was that it chilled the whisky and slowed down the alcohol getting into your bloodstream, that stopped you getting drunk when you had a few.

Alas :-( he never told me what number was a few nor how to cure the hangover after a few :-D

Got to be wee dram of a Highland Park with one ice cube or Knockando neat. Don't think I'll be trying the crisps though and I can't stand haggis.

OH has his with a drop of water. Spring bottled if we have it (which isn't often) or tap water.

Can't see him rushing to Scotland for whisky and haggis crisps!

Half a glass of ice?

I have three small (very small!) cubes of ice.

My uncle always laughed at my ice...... said it was sacrilege, he drank his neat.

:-D

I might try the whisky crisps (if they make to to my part of Oz), but won't be trying the haggis :-( What did a potato do to deserve that??

I don't think I would fancy whisky flavoured crisps, I preferred my whisky in a decent sized crystal whisky glass, I half filled the glass with ice and my 15 Year Old Laphroaig poured in till it just covered the ice, only thing I would add to it was more Laphroaig - alas my pension does not stretch to buying a bottle of 15 Year Old Laphroaig, but still got my whisky tumblers ;-)

I'll stick with having my whisky in a glass, thankyou.

I might have a few plain crisps with it :-D

A company based in Perthshire in Scotland has said that its new line of whisky and haggis-seasoned crisps would be available from this week at Scottish Co-op stores.
