Help me spend my windfall!

Looking for advice on how to spend an unexpected windfall, I had a letter first class today from the building society saying they miscalculated the interest on a closed account.

A cheque was attached for 3p :-D Now do I blow the whole lot or spread it around to get best value? Not sure if you can still get penny chews, but that's the only option we can think of, perhaps bulk buy the three and share the good fortune between me and the Mrs over the coming weeks ;-)

Sorry but begging letters will be ignored, 'cos its ALL MINE :-P

I wonder how much it actually cost the building society to process the amount and post the cheque. :-S :-S :-S :-S

Can I come with you when you try to deposit it at the bank? Please!

I'd love to see the teller's face :-D

You could always 'spend a penny' three times.!! or how about 3 penny chews.?
:-D

There could be a downside to your windfall if your bank charges you for clearing the cheque :-(

How about sending it back, and asking them to donate it to their designated charity?

If it was me I would have put return to sender on
the envelope it came in and returned the cheque.

Got in tonight and thought what the heck, lets treat ourselves on the strength of it!
So we ordered Pizza I only had to chip in another £27.44 to make up the difference ;-)
