I believe that you have to remove the children before you can remove the parent ...............

which makes a lot of sense, when you think about it :-)

KenSE is quite correct ......................... you should not be posting the names of living people on your tree unless you do have their permission

and it is not advisable to do it even then!

This is NOT a secure site, Google picks up information very quickly from it, and then it is on the internet for forever and a day.

Other sites such as Ancestry actually automatically replace names of people born within the last 100 years for whom there is no death date, with Private

Have you got permission to add the living people to your tree?

If one of them objects they can get Genes to delete them from your tree.

When you click "Edit" there is provision to change or remove each parent.

I started my tree and did quite a lot of work on it adding still alive relations - then i realized one of the grandparents had his children attached to the father instead of the marriage.
Is there any way of sorting this out without me having to wipe off all the added alive relations which was quite a lot of work. the tree wont let me delete because of children attached to it.

All help greatly appreciated
