Well Mine wasn't quite age related,
but when I took up smallbore shooting in 1987,

it was a very steep learning curve, and a few years later one of our (much younger than I) more experienced club members, who had shot in commonwealth games and olympics asked me what my ambition was.......well says I, I'd like to be able to shoot as well as you.
his answer wasn't very encouraging, but I am catching him up.......at least I CAN at times beat his missus........

Belated birthday greetings Les, and congratulations on your 61st Wedding Anniversary too, haven't you both done well?

You have helped me decide my target! I want to outlive you, so at 67 that means I have to do at least another 34 yrs if you are going to hit 100!

lots of love to you both

Getting older need not be a frightening experience. Us oldies have the experience of making mistakes (many of them), learning from some of them, and moving on.

Mind you, old age has given me a thick skin & I'm a bit deaf plus my mind wanders. My memory goes back to at least half past eight this morning. That was when I had a soft-boiled egg & soggy soldiers. Delicious whether false teeth are in or out.

Well done Les & 'herself'.

Hello everybody...I trust all as well as can be expected..Fairly good here in Oxfordshire....
Targets in life...Either fun one's or reality...I had one but now have two..The missus has to help with the second one...I have just turned 83 and Aud will be 80 in December.. My first is 100 not out...Looking forward to the party...My NEW 2nd is to pass 80 years married..We have today clocked 61 so we are getting there..
Anybody else out there got such "dreamy" targets or are you all sensible and sober?? <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 to all....LES...
