The first time I ever saw a Dragonfly was when my daughter was a toddler. We were visiting my mother's house and I was putting something on the washing line. There, sitting on the line looking at me, was a MONSTER!

Never having seen anything like it before, and not knowing what it was capable of, I grabbed my daughter and ran inside.

My mother laughed and told me it was a dragonfly, and said she loved them. They used to always see them by the river in the country town she grew up in.

I bought her a dragonfly brooch then!

I`ve just got back in after opening the little ole greenhouse out back.
I`ve just been followed up the path by something I aint ever seen round here for years... a beautiful big dragonfly. amazing creatures and so elegant and it settled for a while on my little pot plant apple tree.(One of the grandkids grew it from a pip some years ago). :-D :-D
