Ways and means.......

I have three Stanley Bridges electric (mains) four speed drills, one needs brushes,
modern stuff 'aint a patch on em as you say keeping up with brushes is a bit awkward at times.......

millions of brushes on Ebay but getting the right sizes and grade is difficult! although they file down to size easily....the brush leads, spring and topping are hard to find

With no income and half a floor sanded my trusty Bosch orbital started messing about on me, sparking, changing speed.

It looked like the brushes had gone to me but what do I know and nobody repairs them any more so, as the floor needed finishing, I bought the new super- dooper model with interchangeable platens.

Well, whereas me and my old Bosch could tackle anything we were given, this new one is more Chad Valley than the dependable Bosch I am used to. Gutless in the extreme!

Our mate has had a look inside the old one for me and verified that I was right and that it was the brushes and, joy of joys, he has tracked some down for six quid.

If it works and I have my old sander back I think I might use this new one as a manicure implement!
