Not keen on the stuff, but it is quite different from the 'real' stuff back home in NZ. In England it almost has the consistency of cold golden syrup.
In NZ its a much thicker.
My son loves the stuff :-S

Just a smear of marmite on buttered toast, then topped with thinly sliced tomatoes. :-D

OH swears that Bovril isn't as good - I can't tell the difference! Don't think I've tried vegemite.

I did try Vegemite once but didn't like it much but I am addicted to Marmite and have been known to eat it off a spoon.

I was surprised to find that African Marmite was not quite the same as ours. I did compare because I take a jar of Marmite with me wherever I go.

This is, I think, because they drink German style lager type beer which must use a different yeast from our heavier dark beers.

They put on too thick

It would have tasted so strong and salty

I like it on toast ,just a scraping so it merges with the ' butter'. And with a mound of cottage cheese on top

This would be my favourite. Breakfast snack

I do prefer Marmite though but Tesco's own brand is acceptable too .

I like vegemite on a toasted English muffin, with a poached egg.

YUM!

I've been told Vegemite & avocado is nice, but I'm not brave enough to try that. I love avocado, but I'll keep it away from the vegemite.
