My mother was very partial to a loaf from her local bakery.... she always asked for the fruit n' fig loaf, because she didn't like to ask for a fig n' fruit loaf, as listed on the board.

:-D

I'm laughing at Ann's stiff drink

OFITG - It's a coincidence but a waitress in the dining room where I worked had a habit of saying "I will get you a fork and knife". We all used to laugh under our breath. :-D :-D ;-)

GeordiePride - when I was at college I worked partime as a waiter in a couple of Edinburgh's top hotels - I often used a version of the phrase "would you like a fork & knife" when I served certain things like cheese or fresh fruit - a version I could not quote on here :-D

I have no idea where she got the word 'Orgasm' from. Not a general dinner-time topic in our house
:-S

Mind you, now she's 34, it's a good way to stop her nagging me :-D

Daughter, aged 8, playing 'I Spy' on a full train, was very clever - it began with 'O'.
We couldn't guess it and gave up.
Daughter, very pleased with herself shouted 'Orgasm'.

I, trying not to laugh, shouted equally loudly 'Organism' - very good!!! :-D
