Hi I am trying to find further information on George Metcalfe born approx 1821 i believe he married a Eleanor Iveson who was born in 1822.
They had 6 children and they are from the Hawes area. I am trying to find Georges father.

There are two other Boards on GR ----- Genealogy Chat and Find Ancestors ----- that might be better for you to post on when looking for ancestors.


There are members who help on those boards, who never look at General Chat ................ so you might miss out on help with information from other subscription sites, or even obscure sites that some of us know about from our own researches

which is a free site, and is very good as long as you only take the information from the records.


They do also have family trees information on there ........... but a lot of what people post is more speculation and hopeful wishes than the truth! It's very unfortunate that people do that!
