What's a chicken crown?

Why put them in the microwave to thaw naturally?

I believe that's one of the dangerous ways to defrost chicken, at room temperature.

you must appreciate that after placing meat at something like -18 to-20 deg c into a small microwave it becomes a self contained fridge for several hours, I am talking from say 11 pm, overnight. till 8 am....

a chicken crown is a chicken breast, as I understand it....

and my self defrosting fridge contains other foodstuffs
