Thanks glasgow lass, will bear that in mind.Im sure my neices and nephews will be putting them on their xmas santa list if i know them!

Dazed, these loom bands are everywhere. The kids at school are just at them every chance. But at the end of the day they are just rubber bands. but some smart person is making a fortune out of them.

you are right of course, something else will soon be the fashion.

I have just returned from my summer holiday in Florida
I did buy a few Christmas presents whilst I was there.
Mostly arty type books, maps and 2015 calendars that my daughter liked!

Even more bizarre?
1st week in September and.........I went to a Halloween Party in Disney's Magic Kingdom!
As much as I really don't like theme parks, this was a lot of fun and almost everyone came in fancy dress
They had trick or treat candy stations dotted all over the park.
The amount of sweets that we were given is crazy! ( new Avi)

Based on what we saw over there the must have Christmas toys this year are:
a) All merchandise relating to the Disney film, Frozen
b) A Smartwatch

Loom Bands - are they biodegradable

Or will be be seeing in the ground for the next thousand years.

A craze that by next summer will have died out completely.

Remember scooby doos. Same principle.... Oh and Hoola Hoops......

Sounds like most of you are pretty organised. If I see anything throughout the year, I also buy it and put it in a box in my wardrobe unitl beg of Dec.

Does anyone know if there is an "in toy or game" this year for kids?

I know the loom bands are the craze just now but wondered if there was anything else that will be on their "wish lists"?

Beautiful day up here, Indian summer.

I buy bits throughout the year, then come Christmas its all done.

I buy my cards & paper after Chrismas in the sales and have a good stock of both.

I post my Christmas cards by at least 15th Dec.

All I have to buy Christmas week are the veggies. As we always have a joint of beef and a turkey joint. The beef from a lovely farm shop and the turkey joint from M & S.

One year I did leave everything to December. NEVER again. I was completely frazzled by Christmas Day, and had family over. Worked night shifts at the time as well, so I was completely knackered. :-D

I do a lot of my Christmas shopping in the January sales - especially Christmas cards, wrappings etc.

If I see something at any time of the year and think such and such a person would like it I buy it and put it in the big wooden chest ready for when Christmas comes. I usually have most presents ready and wrapped by the end of October.

XMAS EVE omg, no way!

Couldnt possibly leave it til then, would be a disaster.

Takes me weeks to wrap everything. 100 cards to write etc..

I think years of working in a bank made me work to a timetable...even now 22 years after having left, i still prioritise and organise every day and plan ahead(not too far though)

Has anyone started their xmas shopping yet? If you have, what kind of gifts have you bought.
The other day, I spotted xmas tree decorations, something which sells out fast. My local C**P had some lovely silver ones and so I bought them. I was away recently and whilst looking around the airport, i found some lovely scarves and a couple of tinned biscuits, again a great price.

By doing a few bits and bobs certainly takes the stress out of doing it all last minute and there are some good offers on at the moment too.

Another shop i found in Glasgow was the C**d Fa****y. I got 50 xmas cards for £1.99 and chose 10 birthday cards for £1.00. They were good quality too!

So lets hear who is organised and what you have bought.
