It's a beautiful day :-D

Sunday morning, 10am....... the sun is shining, the sky is blue with a few puffy clouds and it's about 22C

I was outside, leaning on the rails, enjoying the sunshine, looking at the ocean, the trees flowers & wildlife.......

and some of that wildlife flew over and pooped on me!

All down both arms :-(

It could have been worse.

:-D

In Ireland, such an incident is often regarded as a sign of 'good luck' coming your way. ;-)

My Mum always said a bird pooping on you was good luck :-D Mum's great-grandmother's parents were Irish :-D

By the amount of "good luck" wished upon me today, I should buy a lottery ticket.

:-D

Sunday morning here and lovely day...bit misty over the sea when I woke up at 7.00am which signalled that it would be nice.
We have had trouble over the summer with a plethora of gulls.

We always have them here and sometimes they make such a racket on the roof.but this year there have been so many more.

A neighbour of mine down the road has been purposely feeding them...it really puts you off feeding the little birds unless you put seeds in a net.

They are protected and 2 of my neighbours have had nests built and one had eggs in her gutter. You're not allowed to destroy if there are chicks so we have all been very vigilant.

I have been bombed on my head near the local beach where locals worry about young children if they're having a snack or ice cream as the gulls will swoop and harm them...and if they're tempted to feed them!

We don't feed the birds......... well, we did when we first moved here, being charmed at kookaburras visiting us..... then they brought all their mates!

We couldn't eat outside for ages, because they swooped down and stole meat off plates. Believe me, looking at a sharp kookaburra beak heading straight for your face is scary.

They still visit and "laugh", but they don't get fed.

Not sure what it was this morning, but going by the amount, I think it was a flock of ibis. I wasn't brave enough to look up. :-)
