Take a rain proof mac and hat.

If you are able to carry them, take a camera and binoculars.

When I was able to go walking, I usually took a plastic carrier bag. Useful when you want to sit on a wet bench.

Hope you and you friend amuse each other - and have lots of good chats.

The Lake District is lovely - well worth a visit of a few days.

Have travelled to quite a few places but the Lakes is one of my favourites in the whole world, especially the Langdales.

Whereabouts is your invite to Linda?

I have just been invited up to the Lake District for five days next month I don't have to pay anything towards the cost, but have a feeling I will be someone's carer I don't mind has this lady was very good to me when I moved to where I am now. Only been up there once and that was for a few hours on a coach trip :-D :-D
