My doctors don't do the injection against Shingles until I am 70.
So another couple of years for that to happen. :-)

Nolls

it would be for Shingles ..........

......... one shot given at 65 MAY protect you from getting shingles, or at least mean the symptoms will be less

a good vaccination to have if you are offered it.

You do only get shingles if you had chicken pox when younger ..........

......... the virus hides itself in the sheath of nerves, and may become reactivated by certain factors later in life .................. factors such as stress, chemo treatments

I used to have the same trouble MtG, my doctor said I needed them, but the receptionist insisted I was not in the 'right' age group or a priority. In the end it was too much hassle so I got them done at the supermarket!! Now I AM in the right age group so there's no fuss. :-)

Oh Lor, here we go again. I am supposed to have a flu jab, for various reasons, but because I am under age, I have to go in and fight with the Receptionist every year!

They change the goalposts every year at our Practice.
