I was in Owlesbury (Osslebury) overnight ... nobody seemed chilly even tho CHS not on. Thick old walls though. Wonderful what a bottle of sack and a snifter of Scotch can do. :-)

Drying clothes on radiators is a super mega inefficient use of energy. It is also a significant fire risk. Fear of tumble dryers has made this very bad idea popular. If you don't want a tdryer get a Lazy Susan or use a clothes horse.

Apart from being on a timer, we never turn ours off!
Its come on a few mornings but not, so far, in the evenings.

strange, my missis has been commenting that, its nippy/ nights are drawing.in/etc

my reply is well after Bisley( which happens mid august) it DOES get nippy nights drawing in.....and yep i've taken to wearing a lightweight fleece, occasionally......

Last year we didn't have the heating on at all. So far this year I am still feeling too warm.

I've succumbed - but then, I put my washing on the radiators to dry/air - so don't feel too guilty. AND I only have 3 radiators on downstairs, (one I can't turn off) none on upstairs.
I regard it as a tumble dryer that heats the house :-D

we have been adding more cardigans etc but the feet have been getting nippy

i walk around bare footed in the house cos i have terrible trouble with swollen feet that get worse if they overheat . I havent been that cold footed but must admit i have been sneezing a lot and shivering so YEP its the heating on I,m afraid

I succumbed with the central heating a few times this week too Shirley.

My feet were a wee bit nippy. :-(

Ok, i could have put my winter socks on...........but i have become very attached to my flip flops!!

OH said to me this evening I am B cold we need to put the heating on !!

Was holding out but had to agree these last evenings were getting a bit nippy .

So the central heating is now on Blimey it will be Xmas too before we know it :-(
