Oh - and in your garden, you need an open tin of hula hoops, mostly eaten, a few left in to ooze from the can as it lies abandoned by the lupins :-D
(I'm only going by what I see walking home from work :-S)

You would be dramatic if you lived in a crack den.

get a couple of old spoons, and burn some sugar in them, so they stain, for more effect

;-)

was going to mention syringes.......those used for printer cartridge refilling would work well.......

a few lengths of surgical tubing.......

Sharron Report 26 Sep 2014 09:51

I think I still have some enormous syringes that we used to wash through Fred's peg when he came home.

I could have those sticking out from strategic places to make it look like I have a really bad habit.

There is another sofa upstairs which will be coming down when we have finished the floor, walls and ceiling and I should have a new kitchen by Christmas so I had better get my finger out if I am to make my squalor pay money..

Well Lass, maybe you could offer it to the TV companies for filming in at a cheap rate - or run conducted tours of the 'infamous place' that appeared in episode X of ??? Would that be 'thinking inside the box'?

The housing association provides all sorts of social support, which I think is brilliant.

We thought we would try a meeting with their employment advisor so she came to visit and is coming back on Monday, so she can take away some more jam as well!

Any way, she had to use our front room, which is not ideal at present. Where the hospital bed was, the floor still has its varnish, where the wheelchair went, it looks like a shed floor so I am sanding it, as I have previously related
, and re-varnishing three or four boards at a time, with a duck board while it dries.

My cats have always used the end of the sofa to communicate, so the cover on one arm is ragged and, because we are sanding and it is dusty, we have an old fireside chair which has been given to us for the duration.

There is just the Sky box on the bookshelf as the books are boxed up and we have the two old chests of drawers which were the most convenient thing to have for Fred's gear still in the front room.

Altogether the picture of elegant living I am sure you will agree!

It wasn't until the woman had left that I realized that every time you see police break into drug dens on the television they look like my front room!

All I need is an ashtray brimming with dog- ends and spliffs and a few empty Special Brew cans and I have the complete look!
