The nearest I could find was knapweed, but none of them looked quite right.

How big is it? and what sort of leaves has it got?

I agree it's very pretty.

A thistle l think, it does'nt look red though. Very pretty, hope you are going to keep it?

it appears to be a Field Thistle,which is much smaller than the big Teasles.

It's lovely!

Don't forget, a weed is just something growing in the wrong place.

I have a garden full of weeds - or as others' would call them - Japanese anemonies. :-(

I still haven't forgiven my sister for giving me one plant 10 years ago :-P :-P
It obviously prefers my soil to hers!

If you goggle knapweed it certainly looks part of that family which is a type of thistle so it's looks like graham and I are on the same page !
