My hubby doesnt use a PC at all I do his online banking for him and any online purchases he wants made. I do his credit card payment online too for him.

Dont know what they base credit scores on but his is better than mine in that yonks ago he got a Gold Credit card with a big limit on it .

They make nothing out of him though because he settles any balance when the statement comes in and goes months between doing a credit card purchases

We do things like car tax renewal etc online on his card

I have a friend who doesn't have a computer and has never had a credit card!

Recently she thought she was signing up for a store card (pressured into it) - luckily she told her group of friends and we all explained that she had signed up for the stores CREDIT Card. She was on the phone to cancel pretty quick. She doesn't do 'credit' - if she hasn't got the money she doesn't buy.

And no, she is not in her 90's, nor even her 80's - just mid seventies.

Experian

They are useless - would not recommend them to anyone

Ok so you need a wristband or a mobile phone or a facebook account OH and friends

Ok so lets see, I'm not going to be able to afford a wristband or a mobile phone and I don't have a facebook account and OH and friends (I don't have any) :-|

I like my credit card the way it is, if the bank would stop phoning me to make it 'better' I would like it even more. :-|

I'm not on Facebook :-(

My friends are all 'real-time' friends, to use an expression that I loathe :-|

How will I cope :-0

When I put my previous reply, I hadn't read the article.
Now I have, Pshawww!!

What a lonely plank he must be - but obviously with lots of Facebook 'friends'. I can do that too - but don't want to see what friends of friends of my hairdressers second cousin have to say/do.

Experian? That's a laugh. Had all my details wrong, had all my friends details wrong - I resent having to correct a government funded (crap) scheme that is used by all banks, and details are put in/ altered by the same banks that use it.

Absurd

My next door neighbours are younger than me - in their 50's - and they do not have a computer and have no wish to have one

What a ridiculous idea!!!
So, basIcally, those who let total strangers into their life via Facebook are considered more credit worthy, despite the fact that this makes them more liable to be hacked, while those of us only allow real friends and family access to our lives less 'credit worthy'?

As for those who want nothing to do with the internet - and quite often it's their choice - are they not credit worthy at all?

This will be leaving us credit less then, as we don't do Facebook. I even replaced my new style contactless credit card for an old fashioned one!
