Sharron you are far from a scrounger as everybody says ,but I love the idea of you writing a book. I am not sure what you would call it but with the threads from here about Fred and the thoughts you didnĀ“t share with us. I think you have a knack of witty writing whilst not losing the point. You have time on your hands now and what better than to write yours and Freds memoirs of the last 7 years.

'London's Burning'

One of the actresses lived in our nearest town - I almost ran her over on a zebra crossing :-0

Handing in a sicknote is no different to what an employer would want if you're ill. In your case the JC are your employers!

Sharron

Sharron Report 4 Oct 2014 08:30

OH rung DWP yesterday and they still need me to submit sick notes.

That message evidently wasn't meant for me.

How cruel their inefficiency can be!

Don't you ever call yourself a scrounger :-|
As others have said - you looked after Fred for 7 years.
You could have put him in a home and carried on working. The cost of the home would have been more than your wages, (therefore funded by everyone else) and more importantly, Fred would have had a miserable existence.
Instead, you unselfishly took your dad home and gave him a LIFE, a reason for being alive, meanwhile changing your life to suit his needs.
Society owes you.

You also gave everyone here a good laugh, and seriously, you should write a book on your 'Fred tactics'. It could have a profound effect on how care homes are run, and benefit thousands of people!! :-D :-D
