Vodka & Fresh Orange Juice, it's not the vodka or fresh orange juice that I don't like - it is the hangover the next morning I hate :-D

Prunes and dates *squirms* :-S :-S

I forgot to mention turnip, both bits, the greens are bitter and the other bit is just horrible. One of the better parts of being a grown-up is not having to eat any part of one.

I have always loved tapioca but you just can't buy sago any more. Even the stuff they sell in Asian shops as pearl sago is tapioca.

Most of the stuff children don't like was my favourite. At school I would always eat somebody's butterbeans for them but they could always have my sausage or ice-cream.

Almonds/almond icing. Dessicated coconut. Whitebait (never liked the little eyes peering up at me). Not keen on my greens. I will only eat lettuce if it is in a sandwich, seems to taste ok then. I will eat lightly cooked cabbage (mum always cooked it to a pulp), but not keen on it. I don't like cauliflower however it is cooked. Broccoli, silver beet have to be chopped up fine and cooked in with other veges and mince. Have not liked any of the alcoholic drinks/wines that people have insisted I try, but then I don't like ordinary fizzy drinks either.

Maggie in Win ~

I've been told I have diverticulitis (saw GP last week), but he didn't really give me much advice on how to deal with it.

I didn't know about beetroot...... anything else I should avoid?

I might start a thread on the icky subject. :-(

I'm trying and trying to find something I don't like ................ as against doesn't like me

Dairy doesn't like me

Wine and all other alcohol doesn't like me .............. apart from 2 or 3 sips, so I can drink a toast at New Year

But I like all the stuff that you lot don't like :-)

I'm not keen on jellied eels, cockles and whelks, but have eaten. I just find them finicky!

tapioca pudding that we used to have at school dinners .......... we used to call it frog spawn :-D

When we had an Aga, I regularly pulled the 'forgotten' rice pudding out the next morning.

It was all 'brown' :-(

A quick and cheap way to make rice pudding that is almost as nice as home- made!

I buy a 15p tin of Morr***ns' "Savers" Rice Pudding. Put in a casserole dish. Add a dessert spoon of sugar (if like me you have a sweet tooth) butter and sprinkle the top with nutmeg. Do not cover.
Cook in a hot oven for about 20 minutes... OR UNTIL YOU HAVE GOLDEN BROWN SKIN ;-) :-D :-D

JemimaFawr

JemimaFawr Report 2 Oct 2014 00:06

Yes- It's called Burnt Rice Pudding Sharron ;-) :-D :-D

Sharron

Sharron Report 2 Oct 2014 00:02

It's not just the skin though is it? It's that brown line round the dish that you need to get a knife behind to prize off.

The big white bit is alright but it is all the brown bits you really want to eat.

I wonder if it would be possible to make a rice pie that was nearly all skin.

mmmm.........can't think of anything I really don't like......

Love beetroot, but since getting diverticulitis I can't eat it.

...well I can, if I wish to have a total purge.

Not too keen on sponge cakes, don't bake them, but will eat then :-D

I wouldn't eat a raw chilli either - but then again, I'm not a masochist! :-D

I'm with Wend about the rice pudding with SKIN :-) :-) :-)

I'm racking my brains to think of something I absolutely hate! :-S :-S :-S

I don't like Brussels Sprouts, but could manage to eat one or two if I had to!

Never eaten Jellied Eels but I really don't fancy trying them!!
Nor Asparagus Tips :-S

I used to eat the cockles we'd picked, with my eyes closed, as a child, so I couldn't see how yucky they looked :-D :-D

Sharron Report 1 Oct 2014 22:49

I don't mind treacle, it is that aberration that is constructed with it that I don't like.

One of those things is not even made with treacle. It is golden syrup.
