are very good and I especially like mine for making chutney. But I do love my Kenwood Chefette. Just made a cake using it, so easy and still working well even though it is 47 years old.

I have a Kenwood but prefer my hand held Bamix which I've had since 1972

My Kenwood Chef is over 40 yrs old but exactly cannot remember. Only repair was new set of brushes some 18 yrs ago. When OH and I returned to pick it up I was told there was enough icing sugar in there to decorate a cake.

I was advised to keep it as even then there was a sales market as the old Chefs did not walk over the counters.

That was when I was designing and baking all types of cakes from christening to wedding - even did an ordination for a lady vicar.

OH has put it away he prefers the hand held beater or the processor.

Gone are the days when items lasted.
