I've got a large slow cooker full of Vegetarian Bean Goulash brewing - my contribution to the food tonight, we're having jacket potatoes. :-D :-D

Sorry to hear your injection was bothersome, Emma :-( - I must say I've found this one OK, with just a slightly sore arm for a day. They seem to be different every year, though I didn't bother to have it last year. :-) :-)

No, Barb - independent, it's a new concept. Not with the NHS, but affiliated to a hospital. She is having to buy all her own equipment, and take out appropiriate insurance. She will be with the client from the beginning until after the birth, or can give post natal support - whatever is needed. :-) :-)

We would be over there celebrating with her tonight, but it's our village hall quiz night, and OH is the quizmaster, and I'm on a team :-D

Thanks girls :-D :-D :-D - she knew she'd passed, but didn't expect a first. She is now all set to become an independent midwife, one of only 170 in the country, though probably still attached to the hospital. All she needs now is her"pin number" to start practising. :-D :-D
