I'll feed it to DH and THEN tell him what it is :-)

I use light olive oil, I find the full-on much too strong tasting.

I haven't been able to find one marrow in the shops here so far. But i will try that with courgette :-)

Considering the abundance of marrows we have I thought I would try and find something to do with one for our tea.

In a book I have about pasta there was a recipe from somewhere, can't remember where but it must have been in Italy I suppose, where they make meals to suit what they have available at the time.

Anyway, there was a recipe that was just sliced, tiny courgettes fried in olive oil and eaten with pasta. It is some time since my marrow was a tiny courgette so I peeled it and cut it as ribbons with a potato peeler and, since I am not that keen on olive oil and I don't have much anyway, fried them in butter until they were brown.

So simple and it was a bit good, I can tell you. Do that again!
