What sort of thing do you find bores you to tears? (apart from life in the Australian outback ;-) )

Personally I think football is incredibly boring. I'm not a great lover of sport in general. When the media become obsessed with something (like football) that kills it for me.

Meetings at work, particularly the 'conference' type ones.
Speaker stands there with a powerpoint up, reading what I can already see, stroking their (the firms) own ego, 'talking the talk' and not tackling the issues at all
:-(

Went to one first thing Monday morning. There was no punctuation on the powerpoint, so I spent my time working out how many ways what was written could be misread.

I also noticed at least 8 spelling mistakes, the most ironic on a pie chart.
They'd spelt compassion wrong - which indicated just how important they really thought it was!

Unless you are very unlucky call systems are annoying rather than boring
. Some firms though seem to delight in keeping people on hold forever.

Judging by the number of people who shell out for tickets and Sky sports and participate sport is very popular with most people. Otherwise there is always a boring soap on the box eg EastEnders (set in Walthamstow), Corrie or Casualty.

The most boring activity known to modern times has to be flying which takes longer and costs more year in year out. Where possible I like high speed trains.

Driving used to be fun at times but is now firmly in the boring category.

Supermarkets are boring beyond belief hence the slump in sales. The main reason Lidl et al are doing well is that they are smaller and thus less time to be bored and endure assault from members of mumsnet. Lidl often has eclectic surprises so is trying not to be boring.

UK commuter trains. Berners Lee invented the internet so as to get around the invidious choice between the M25 and South West trains.

Facebook.

Twitter the post pointless thing ever.

School. Anybody who found school anything other than boring is either a liar ex prefect or a teacher. Some poor souls choose to become teachers with the noble idea of changing things then find they cannot.

Michael Gove MP (see above). Seen in the flesh you will understand why Dave has put this square peg in the sq hole of Chief Whip.

Blended whiskey.
Lager.
Curling
Women's cricket ... magistrates should consider it as a useful punishment.
lawn mowing
Stephen Fry
Boris Johnson and his rellie Allan. Which one will be the most boring pm ever?

Waiting hours in NHS clinics is very boring and a bit terrifying on top if your loved one has cancer ... the brilliant NHS saved my oh so I shall forgive the waiting.

Waiting for buses except in London where a bus will soon turn up but goodness knows who riding inside. Freddie Kreuger?

For all the above Boredoms there are worse but not to be mentioned or the RR man will be around.

;-)
