I used to love McCowan's Highland Toffee. :-D

Wouldn't risk eating it now, though.

I think the Edinburgh Woollen mill sometimes has it.

Do you remember Palm toffee? It came in a block and you had to bash it with a hammer to break it into pieces. Dad bought some every weekend - no wonder I've got such rotten teeth.

Mother-in-law always keeps her toffees in the fridge. She says they last longer in the mouth, that way.

My mother used to make toffee - when we got noisy she would say "here have some toffee" silence would then reign as our jaws ended up stuck together :-D

It is hard to get a decent toffee these days because I need toffees.

I don't smoke, drink or do drugs and they are my prop at the moment. The doctor knows and approves but he won't prescribe them!

A lot of them are more like fudge and I hate fudge. My mother used to eat it!

Can you still get Bluebird toffees?
