There was a similar ride in Los Angeles( I think) was called "The Edge"

was like a long settee which went up (As did this one,) but at the top, it travelled forwards to "the Edge" and did the drop but at the bottom it curved so you were lying back in the seat, as it slowed...........then kind of taxied forward to the disembark point....my daughter said that was one ride she wouldn't be going on , again!!
