I am finally in a position to do this but it has always annoyed me that this should happen. It gets in my bloody way! |

Sharron, I can fully understand what you are saying. I have suffered since I left school from what was then called nervous debility and had to take time off many times. I was never encouraged to go foranything or given confidence in myself so I had to learn to overcome my nerves and be braver. Its always such a battle but has become easier. My mother was a bundle of nerves and always told me she had an inferiority complex. She never tried to teach me how to cope. |

As far back as I can remember I have kind of closed down when things became too much for me. It has never been logical and I have always tried to overcome it and, of course, the abuse had to be hurled a bit harder when I was growing up and my extreme and loathsome laziness explained to me once again. This was usually done from the sofa behind a cloud of smoke and a Woman's Weekly. (Jim Royle in a frock!) |
