I went on the Tesco site to have a look at their essentials

Not a lot on there I could not do without.

There's an electric knife in the bottom drawer of our kitchen :-(

It belonged to DH before we met.

It scares me!

I know for a fact that it hasn't been used in at least 8 years.

Anyone want an electric knife?

I have an egg separator inherited from my father made about 1950, It works a treat. Break egg into aluminum separator, pour white out through the slot. I also have a glass cylinder with a plunger. Pour whites of egg into this and whizz the plunger up and down ... result crisp egg whites for meringues etc in no time.

No idea what the Waitrose version is like as I avoid their gadgets section for being too Apple focused. I have just won a bet to use only a Tesco HUDL and an android phone for the last month no computers. This has been trying but not as bad as I thought it would be. If all pubs had free wifi it would be a very good thing. I am waiting for the 4G bill with trepidation ...

The new hudl is far better value than an iPad if less svelte. Def. a better bet in the kitchen. It takes a fairly thick skin to use a Hudl in public the disapproving stares in Starbucks are something else! Nobody in my Camden boozer seems to care though :-) and Peaky Blinders are long gone.
