Maplin have a Robot lawn mower for £999,99

pity they don't have one that could trim my leylandii,

my son is buying a sit and ride one for his massive garden
for almost the same price as that robotic one

he has the robotic hoover with to be honest isn't much cop
I bet this grass cutting versions much the same to be honest

them robotic lawn mowers are no good unless your lawn is perfectly flat :-( :-(

I've seen people mowing their lawns on the steep hillsides around ilfracombe. They stand at the top with the lawnmower attached to a rope. They let the lawnmower go and use the rope to pull it back up. I can't see a robotic lawnmower working on gardens as steep as that. There has to be better ways of spending a thousand pounds.
