I hope you are not spending too much time on 11982 Island.

Google freecell 11982 if you want to find a way of cheating it. :-)

It used to be possible, if you found yourself in a losing state, just to minimise the freecell game, and start another........when the computer is shut down the "lost" game disappears but with the newer versions, that doesn't seem to work any more......

Phyll, spider, feeecell and ord solitaire are in the games section under programmes. Go to your start menu and then all programmes. You should see games and then will list a whole host of games.

my comp is ancient Xp 2002 and loads of games came with it.

Once you start playing, you wont give up!

Island

Island Report 19 Oct 2014 11:03

I believe it is possible to maintain a 100% success rate by 'saving' games that seem 'unwinnable' (is that a word :-S) - why one would be bothered to do that is a mystery to me :-S

I'll take up the challenge of 11982 Ken and let you know how many games it takes :-D

Graham, it doesn't sound like you have tried freecell game 11982 yet.

Graham

Graham Report 18 Oct 2014 23:19

I've played over a thousand games of freecell and 900 games of spider solitaire and have a 100% win rate on both :-)

Andysmum

Andysmum Report 18 Oct 2014 22:39

Both OH and I play Spider, usually 2 suits and success rate about 3%.

My Freecell rate is currently 81%, but OH's is much lower. He doesn't spend long enough thinking and working out his moves. I think it's rather like chess, but not as complicated.

We also like Jawbreaker, but it's more luck than judgement - just a bit of fun.
