Just had an email from Genes saying I have 10 unread emails in my inbox

I dont think so !!!

I open all emails and reply even if its not my family sorry to an enquiry

Like to know where these 10 unread ones are as my message heading doenst indicate any waiting to be read

I have searched and there are none. I informed Genes ages ago and they agreed and said they would sort it. It really doesn't matter.

On a more positive note I have actually just received a message board update alert. :-)

I received the same message today Shirley but, as I have over 14,000 messages in my inbox, I sure ain't checking!

I'm pretty sure there are any messages at all as I am on the site every day and always open messages as soon as I notice them. GR are being slightly over zealous methinks. :-D

I received the message that I have two unread messages.

Went back to 2007, when I became a member of GR, all messages have been read.

I'm not a big one for PM's, so only had ten pages to check.

I do have some unread sent PM's but I hardly think that GR would notify me about those :-S

You can do a filtered search for unread messages - you do not have to work your way back through every page.

only the 2 that have been showing as "new" for the last 3 years and that I have never succeeded in finding!

i will take a look but how do you do a filtered search ? cant see it

I have 151 pages of emails so not looking at every page .

I clicked on the Inbox, and there is a box saying 'Search messages"

If you click on the sub heading 'All Messages', the filter pops up
