I used to clean a 'gold' chain by putting it in a saucer with a little vinegar for a few seconds, then rinse it clean. It came up nice and shiny. |

It is possibly the vinegar in the sauce. Try a bit of white or brown vinegar. |

Is there another way to clean brass other than 'brasso'? Something that gets into nooks and crannies and can I 'scrub' it? |
