I was brought up on Scott's Porage Oats, but these days I buy Scott's So-Easy Pots - just add hot water for a nourishing quick snack :-) |

I don't have it in a cup but I do sometimes make the instant porridge in a bowl in the microwave. It is very nice too. I can see it would be good at work, having it in a cup would probably disguise the fact that it is not tea/coffee. Some people leave for work very early, e.g. my daughter used to when she lived in Hampshire and worked in London so she left too early for breakfast and needed something after the journey before starting work. It would be good in that case I think. And better than a danish or similar. |

Ah, but it does give you the benefit of being able to buy two tablespoonsful of porridge oats for the price of a pound of oats in a bag. |

Porridge oats can be cooked in the microwave for four minutes, anyway, so i dont think theres much to gain there. Alot of places of work have a microwave. |
