OH is looking after me.

He cooks meals. Remeber the fried egg with pasty incident last week?

I fancied some Ovaltine so I indulged in a jar from the Co-Op today. He doesn't like it so has never made it but came to bed after me and was going to be making a drink.

I asked him to make it in the big spotted mug, heat up the milk in the microwave and stir in a dessertspoonful of Ovaltine.

Up he comes with the drinks, spotted mug with teaspoon sticking out of it. It didn't feel quite right when I picked it up which is not surprising as there was a dear little drop of drink in the bottom of the mug, in fact it was barely more than a damp patch!

He hadn't made it before so he read the instructions and followed them!

Of course, I am such a liar that I would tell him to do quite the wrong thing to make me a drink and I do have other , smaller drinking vessels.Had I wanted a tiddly little drop of Ovaltine, why would I suggest he use the big mug?

He is having another go.

Do I need another homeopathic dose of Ovaltine I ask myself.

Maybe you should leave the correct amount of milk in the mug, in the fridge, just as an example :-D

Sharron I do hope you finally got your ovaltine before you fell asleep and you enjoyed it.

We are the ovaltinies happy girls and boys.,

forgot the rest. Didn't Ovaltine co supply special mugs with a long spoon? Not that Ovaltine is likely to be the devil's first choice.

I had one of those Ovaltine mugs when I was young. It might still be in a box of things I brought away from my Mum's after she died.

Personally I like Horlicks, the sort you just add boiling water to. Sometimes Tescos has an offer on of two refill packs for about £4 which works out a lot cheaper than buying a plastic jar of it.
