number plates

tThe police have been doing door to door calls in this area as thieves are taking number plates off vehicles and then going to petrol stations filling up and driving away without paying...free petrol... so we have been advised to check the number plates are securley fixed.... yet another scam.....

Use the self adhesive type of plate. They cannot be removed without breaking the plate.

Simples.

I wouldn't have thought sticky plates would be suitable for all cars

there was a road wars program where the "alert" officers pulled a suspicious car because there were no fixing screws in the plates...........as it happened they were right, false plates stuck over the originals............

but yes they ARE difficult to remove...I used a piece of guitar string to take mine off, as In a cheesewire.... so I could fit my preferred plates
