Things must be looking up.

I cooked a reasonable tea AND made the Christmas cakes.

I just make them, OH cooks them. He is much better with the technical stuff like lining cake tins and things but I am better at bunging everything that is hanging about into a bowl and calling it a cake.

Not until they are fed and decorated.

A few weeks of tipping in the alcoholm with maybe a break to put some in the cakes.

Then he does the marzipan and icing and I do the decorating.

Well done you.
I haven't made a Christmas cake for years, but we do usually make our puddings - same taste as traditional ones, but not such a heavy mix.
