At least Cameron didn't go to Oz with a monster car, and ask the Qld govt to remove a roundabout........ so that "The Beast" wouldn't have to slow down!

I am researching the Wotherspoon family from the Old/New Monkland areas of Scotland, some moved to the Leslie and Kelty areas of Fife and I'm having problems linking the Wotherspoon's from Leslie and the Wotherspoon's from Kelty. Brisbane has gone mad with all the international politicians arriving.

I had a look at the first article. If Cameron got sunburn on the beach in Cornwall, he'd better keep his shirt on while he's in Brisbane! He's already commented about the heat.

I hope you are not too worried about the Russian naval ships cruising around out there ...........

.......... you are pretty close to Brisbane, if they decide to let off a pot shot or two ;-)



Russian planes decided to do some flyovers over the Arctic a short while ago ............. in Canadian airspace

They were shadowed VERY closely until they got out of there

There have been a few incursions into UK airspace recently by Russian bombers butt they were seen off by a couple of Typhoon jets from RAF Lossiemouth - provocation can have unforeseen consequences for the perpetrator.

It's interesting........... you (especially males) may want to take a look.

Expected temp today is 40C!! Brisbane doesn't usually get quite that hot. May all the hot air produced by the international pollies is the cause.

A cool change is expected later today...... when most of the pollies have left the country.

I'm not sure if it's hot air or methane gas, produced by all the BS.

DH was visiting friend this morning, a few kms south of us.... and took an hour to get home! The highway was jammed with Queenslanders on their way home. Can't say I blame them, if I lived in Brisbane I'd get out for the length of the BS conference.

Two young men turned up at the Marriot hotel yesterday, with suitcases. They were stopped & searched for over an hour, then allowed to leave. What if they were booked in? Was the hotel reserved for Obama & his crew? :-(
