Our Maggie was laid to rest with her parents yesterday. I know the churchyard and we were there at 3.00 p.m. yesterday in spirit. <3 <3 <3

So sorry for your loss Chris.
It's so hard to lose a good friend, especially one you've known so long.

Grieving takes many forms and sometimes it's not being able to share a future special moment will bring on the tears.

I'm sure all who loved her will treasure the special times shared and remember her with a smile.

So sorry to hear of your sad loss Chris. I lost my dearest friend of 56 years nearly three years ago I still miss the phone calls. Two days before she died I received a lovely painting of the beach where we played has children that she had painted for me.

When I rang yesterday her SIL was alone in the house with her. He did say he thought she could hear though family say no.

I asked him to tell her I loved her, that it was time to let go as Big John (her dad, they were very close) was waiting for her. To tell her as often as he could.

Of her four children her eldest twin has been battling breast cancer for over five years and is not good at all past few months and is in a hospice for respite. My sorrow is deep but their is even more so.

Many memories today - and all laughter ones. <3 <3 <3 :-D

I am so sorry to read this Chris, as I know how much your Maggie meant to you. You were so pleased to send her the wedding pictures and it was lovely that your son sent her flowers on his birthday and you spoke with her then. Let your grief come out, don't even try to hold it in, and know that your friend is now free from her suffering and with others she loved, gone before. Your comfort will be that she is still watching over you and she is no longer in pain, and one day in the long distant future you will be together again.

I had a tree planted for my Dad for his 70th birthday and I hope the tree you have planted for Maggie will thrive and be surrounded by bluebells and woodland flowers and creatures.

We have a lovely woodland burial site near here where several of my friends are buried, and where I went to a service done by Sands, and planted some bulbs in memory of my baby daughter. It's a beautiful peaceful place and I am sure that your tree for Maggie will be in a similar setting, even tho not a burial site.

Thinking of you, and all who loved Maggie,

Lizxxx

So sorry to hear about your friend

When we have known them for so long they are part of us and our growing up .

I too have a childhood friend who is like a sister and has had some health issue recently, you worry about them the same as family .

Sending you my sincere condolences
