As predicted the UK Independence Party (UKIP), has its second elected MP at Westminster after Mark Reckless wins the Rochester and Strood by-election by 2,920 votes.

I wonder if other MP's who are disenchanted with their parties current policies - will now jump ship? obviously some voters are not very happy with government policies.

Smaller margin than predicted, I wonder if the bubble is bursting and people beginning to realise the Emperor is wearing no clothes.

Dermot

It would be nice to see a few UKIP 'home-grown' candidates getting elected rather than depending on other party defectors.

Dermot - whether they can do that only time will tell and that may be more difficult than Nigel Farage thinks.

Guinevere - hopefully and when it comes to the general election I think many will fall back on the old maxim....better the devil you know ;-)
